Coffee, Calzones and Cosmetics
Hello everybody!
So yesterday I thought I'd have a good ol' stretch and have a little stroll around Leeds (I've been ill for the last two weeks with some digestive upset, fatigue and pain so really needed to get out).
Because I've not been feeling well I've not had chance to get a pumpkin spice latte which is one of my favourite seasonal drinks (my other being the Starbucks eggnog lattes at Christmas). As usual it was delicious, though it seems much sweeter than I remember so I may stick to the smaller sizes in future.
I also tried my boyfriend's drink, the new caramelised pecan latte. It was surprisingly good, but more christmassy than an autumn drink I think. I'm very excited for Halloween and Bonfire Night now, I love this time of year-carving pumpkins, horror movies, falling leaves and wearing warm jumpers.
I also bumped into one of my favourite street food stalls La Focaccia. They're usually found in central Leeds over the weekend and at the occasional food festivals.
They have delicious calzones, focaccia and paninis and it's almost impossible to choose a flavour to eat! We stood for what felt like years trying to decide but finally picked the meatball calzone which was so yummy!
They'll even heat the calzones up in the oven for you which makes them even more delicious, mmm...melted cheese.
Happily full we popped into Lush and the Yorkshire Soap Company stores. I bought a few new bath bombs that I've yet to try: secret arts, rocket science and yellow submarine- how adorable is the little submarine?!?
I also purchased the honey and bran and orange, carrot and calendula botanical soap bars as well as my favourite candle ever- mango and lychee.
I'll definitely be following this post up with some reviews so watch this space.
Thank you for reading, speak soon!
Becca Jayne.
