Today I'm going to be discussing another new ballistic to me, Yellow Submarine from Lush. I bought this bomb at the same time as the Rocket Science bomb, I just couldn't resist them both (I'm a sucker for shaped/unusual bath bombs).

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Brazilian Orange Oil, Coriander Seed Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Water (Aqua), Limonene, Citral, Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Perfume, Fandango Lustre, Colour 45410, Colour 47005.

How to use: Just pop into a hot bath and watch it fizz away!

Price: £4.25 (2018)
£3.95 (2017)

Made with fresh lemongrass oil, Brazilian orange oil and coriander seed oil this ballistic has a very fresh citrus-herb scent. I wasn't so sure about the smell at first but decided to take the plunge and purchase because it was just so darn cute.

The Brazilian orange oil refreshes the skin while lemongrass oil acts as an antiseptic and brings out a glow in the skin.

Once is hits the water it spouts out bright yellow foam with a jet of pink foam being expelled from the rear. This one, like Rocket Science, floats on the top surrounded by it's frothy bubbles and propels itself around the bath. My Yellow Submarine flipped straight over when I popped it in the tub and it would've been nice if it stayed upright so you could see the submarine, though it may just have been my particular submarine.

This ballistic is very similar to Rocket Science in terms of the scent disappearing after it dissolved which, again was a little disappointing. The scent doesn't really linger on the skin either nor did my skin feel particularly refreshed and clean afterwards which I would usually expect with a bomb that smells like this one.

On the positive side it spouts a lovely mix of pink and yellow reminding me of one of my favourite bath bombs, Never Mind the Ballistics, however it does leave the bath a bit of a gross yellow (what your grandma would call 'pee yellow'). It's very very cute but I don't think the novelty and colours were enough to make me love it.

I probably wouldn't buy this again as it was still quite an expensive ballistic and the scent doesn't linger, I would definitely recommend Rocket Science instead as it's a similar smell, gives a great show and is much cheaper!

Overall I'd give this fizzer a 3.5 out of 5.

Thanks for reading, speak soon!

Hello everyone!
As I've mentioned in a previous post I recently discovered two shops in the Corn Exchange, Leeds- The Great Yorkshire Shop and Giant Kitten. They were both really unique and I just knew I should share them with you in case you find yourself in the area.

Giant Kitten sells everything from jewellery to candy and stocks a lot of American and Japanese goodies. As far as I'm aware it used to be named Culture Vulture which was a long time favourite shop in Leeds when I was a lot younger (we're talking 16 here, when everyone was really into Japanese candy and anime). I found out about Giant Kitten from a friend who had purchased blind box fall Pusheens from them and just had to go!

Just look at the cute Pusheens and Gudetama cards!
I picked up two fall blind box plushies and got my two favourites, the ghost and the candy corn, they're so cute!
So after pottering around the Corn Exchange a little more I came across The Great Yorkshire Shop which I'd never heard of or seen before.
I saw a Yorkshire Tea apron outside and was sold instantly!

The Great Yorkshire Shop is a fantastic place supporting local businesses and features everything from silly Yorkshire-English books, handmade soap and beautiful chutneys and jams.
As a proud 'Yorkshire lass' I really enjoyed looking around this little shop and I found some of the merchandise funnier than I probably should (such as the 'Chuffin Eck' print) but I guess that's just my type of humour. It's a shame it's not featured closer to the tourist centre as I think it would do really well there as it's full of unique traditional northern things that tourists would love.

I'm happy that these little stores exist as they make me so proud to be from Yorkshire.
We may confuse you with our weird words and not using 'the' in sentences but we have great food (Yorkshire puds, Wenslydale cheese and rhubarb) and we love to complain. We're kind of charming...in a weird way.

Hopefully you check these awesome stores out if you're in the area!
Thank you for reading, speak soon!

Hey everybody!
So on Monday I received a rather large box of goodies from Lush and thought I'd do my first haul post! Since then I've gone on to buy more Lush goodies from store and also some of the new Cath Kidston x Disney collection, Peter Pan...which is so perfect!

I requested a few samples with my Lush order as I wanted to try the new naked shower gels and body conditioners. Alas Lush aren't doing samples of them and I'm unsure whether they'll do samples when they're released in store as they're technically exclusives/seasonal products.

I did get a sample of something I've been wanting to try for a while, Ro's Argan Gourmet Soap. I'm just going to say straight out, I'm not a massive fan of Lush soaps (as previously mentioned in my YSC post) as they don't seem to lather well.
I stand here most definitely, corrected...this gourmet soap is to die for!

Rose Jam is my favourite shower gel and I adore all the scent family, but I genuinely believe the soap could replace the gel, its so sweet and strong and the scent is very long lasting. It also lathers incredibly well and is very moisturising. By far my new favourite Lush soap which was previously Angel's delight. I'll definitely make sure to do a full review of Ro's Argan Soap soon as I actually went into store later this week to buy a big chunk of it.

As well as Ro's Argan I received Olive Tree, Respect Your Elders and Sandstone. I've tried all four samples and love them all except Sandstone which smells a little too strong and harsh to my nose.

I also picked up a few kitchen exclusives Flowering tea bubble bar, Guardian Of The Forest bath bomb and Flower's Barrow bath oil. I've not tried Guardian Of The Forest or Flower's Barrow before, on initial smell I'm not crazy about Flower's Barrow, it's a little too herbal for me but I'll give it a try in the bath and see.
I purposely only bought my favourite Halloween and Christmas products and I'm going to wait to smell all the new goodies when they're in store (though I did order the Twilight sparkle jar which I really like).

Rose Jam shower gel and Lord of Misrule shower cream are by far my top two favourite shower products, I really wish they were made all year round.
Never Mind the Ballistics is my ultimate favourite bath bomb (I've actually already used the one pictured, I need to order some more) closely followed by Shoot For The Stars, again I'd love these to be made all year round and I'd be very very sad if either were discontinued.
Glittery Pumpkin is a fabulous smelling vibrant orange bubble bar and I've very excited to try the new Pink Pumpkin, maybe it'll be my new favourite?

Also picked up an Each Peach massage bar and a trusty small Charity Pot. Reviews to come!
Some of you may know Cath Kidston are releasing frequent collaborations with Disney with Peter Pan being the forth (they've done designs featuring Winnie the Pooh, Micky and Minnie Mouse and 101 Dalmatians also). Of course I popped in to see if there was anything left and picked up an adorable notebook and pen and a mug for my ever growing collection.
They've released some beautiful products, the clothes in particular are perfect but far out of my price range! (Need all that money for my Lush addiction).

I've bought products from each collection except Micky and Minnie and may feature them in a future post if anyone would be interested; the majority is Winnie the Pooh as he's my favourite character ever.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed my first haul...kind of hoping I don't do too many of these in the near future as I don't think my wallet can stretch that far.
Hope you're having a good weekend so far and thanks for reading!

Hello everybody!
So yesterday I went for a wander around Leeds again, popped into the Corn Exchange, Red's True BBQ and Lush.
I discovered two particularly fabulous shops in the Corn Exchange, Giant Kitten (which I believe used to be called Culture Vulture, they still have their traditional Lego cash register!) and The Great Yorkshire Shop. I'm going to feature both in a future post so stay tuned!

I picked up a couple of the new blind Pusheen boxes (I don't think I've mentioned before, but...I adore Pusheen) and somehow got my two favourites! Pusheen as a candy corn and Pusheen as a ghost. I'm so in love with them, I just love Halloween and autumn themed things (really wish I lived in America for this reason, Halloween is so big over there).

Anyway...I of course browsed Lush hoping to see some early Halloween releases, but alas here I sit on the day of release and Lush Leeds don't have any of the new products (noooo...) I picked up some Softy foot lotion, a Dreamtime bath melt, a Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment bath melt and an adorable Scrubee.

I've had a sample of Softy which I really enjoyed so decided to take the plunge and see if it can fix the dry skin on my heels. I picked up another Scrubee as my previous one is no more (rest in peace Scrubee!)
Dreamtime was for my boyfriend...I wanted to review it but he forgot to take photos and such and he used it today so looks like I'll have to buy another. Never mind...

After taking a bunch of photos in Lush we decided to go to Red's True BBQ for dinner which was pretty yummy. Red's is pretty famous for it's BBQ nowadays and has changed its menu quite a bit since I last visited but it's still enjoyable and busy as always!

I'll also be writing a post about Red's in the near future so look out for that if you're interested!

As I listen to my boyfriend snoring next to me, I realise I should probably stop here and go to sleep, so t
hank you for reading and happy Monday!

P.S. Here's my Monday face as a bath bomb!

Today I'm going to talk about one of Lush's quite recent releases, Rocket Science. I'm more of a Lush skincare fan but couldn't resist buying this little cutie!

How to use: Just pop into a hot bath and watch it fizz away!

Price:  £3.75 (2018)
           £2.95 (2017)

Made with lovely bergamot and lemon oils, this bath bomb really packs a punch. It has a strong citrus smell but there's also a powdery or musk scent, kind of like So White or Dragon's Egg.

Once it hits the water it immediately spouts out vibrant coloured foam which seems to continue for what feels like forever. The foam ranges from a beautiful blue, yellow and a pinkish purple and what makes it so spectacular is that it seems to float on the top of the water and propel itself around the tub (like a spaceship). It keeps its shape and is a slow fizzer so if you're a fan of bath bombs which give you a show, this is definitely for you.
I was a little disappointed with the smell as once it had all dissolved into the bath I couldn't really smell anything, it was all a bit lost once it had stopped fizzing. Though, for the price I would definitely recommend this just for its fabulous display of colours.
After the show the bomb leaves the bath a nourishing shade of blue, it was such a pretty colour and the little stars floating around were a cute touch.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the fizzer, great size and price and lasts for at least ten minutes. I'd rate it a 4.5 out of 5. Thank you for reading this review, speak soon!
