Lush Haul!

Hello all!
Here I am with another haul, this time it's a Lush kitchen order and a few of the new Christmas releases.

I was lucky to pick up a few items from the coffee/chocolate themed week, three Ma Bars, a Sugar Mama and a pot of Heavenly Bodies.

I took a bit of a risk with the pot of Heavenly Bodies as I'm not really into chocolate smelling products but I'm so glad I took the plunge! It smells like a fresh, natural version of a Terry's Chocolate Orange which is incredible! It doesn't lather very well and you end up using quite a lot to cover your body but the smell lingers for a short while afterwards and your skin is left super soft and moisturised, so probably one for people with dry skin.
I've actually ordered another pot of these as, as of Friday, the Lush Kitchen has closed it's doors... so it's probably quite unlikely that I'll see this buttercream again. Take it from me, it's worth it; go buy some quickly!!

I also indulged in a few Ma Bars (which I've already been using as you can see) which are my all time favourite bubble bar. Ma Bar was one of the first bubble bars I purchased from Lush but I'm pretty sure it was discontinued shortly after. These lovely bars share their scent with the Honey I Washed The Kids Range but I think there's something different about their smell- maybe it's the sugar cube in the middle! You only really need to use a third of the bar to make a full bath of bubbles which is good as it's a kitchen product and not seen too often.

Sugar Mama also shares the same scent with Ma Bar (you can probably see the pattern here eh?) but obviously works to get rid of dead skin cells and buff your skin. This sugar scrub is again something new for me but I knew its scent family was Honey I Washed The Kids so just had to buy it!

Aside from the kitchen products, I popped into my local shop and purchased a few things that I didn't get on my initial Christmas online order; plus I really wanted to go into a Lush store and smell all the new products!

It's safe to say I was pretty overwhelmed by the sheer number of new products and shopping online is nowhere near as daunting as seeing it all in the flesh, trust me on this...

I intended to pick up two bath bombs which I hadn't tried and also a large bottle of shower gel. Instead I came out with a lot more than I bargained for...

To start I bought another Never Mind The Ballistics bath bomb as it's tied with Shoot For The Stars as my all time favourite. The smell is very difficult for me to place as it's scent is completely new and unique to anything Lush has created before. It's made with orange and lime oil and gardenia extract to make a beautiful fruity smell. The pink half of the bath bomb is a coating of cocoa butter so this one is super moisturising but may make your tub a little slippy, so take care when you get out. If you've not tried this one before, please go buy one if you enjoy strong fruity scents.

Next up is the Thundersnow bath bomb. I actually picked up Shoot For The Stars instead of this as it's one of my favourites. I promptly told myself that I need to try new products! So, out of all the others I picked Thundersnow as so many people were raving about it online. This one smells a lot like mint chocolate chip ice cream though not as strong smelling as I expected. We'll have to see how it is in the tub!

I also decided to try the Plum Snow bubble bar which shares the same scent with Plum Rain shower gel which was released last year. I didn't really pay any attention to Plum Rain but I'll definitely be going to buy the shower gel in the near future as this product smells divine! To me it smells very strong, tart and fruity and it kind of reminds me of pie fillings before the sugar is added. It's also really really big so you could probably use it for four baths; really cannot wait to try this one.

Something non-Christmas related is the Amelie Mae washcard which I didn't expect to pick up,
These washcards are like perfume samples, you add a bit of water and lather on your skin. It should last a few times so it's great to see if you enjoy the fragrance before you buy a solid or liquid perfume. Amelie Mae smells floral and fruity so is perfect for me!

As I was paying for all my products I asked about some samples as while I was wandering around talking to all the staff I tried the Christingle body conditioner and wanted to try it at home. This thing smells really fresh and minty and makes your skin feel very refreshed and tingly. One of the staff in my local Lush said that she keeps it for summer to cool her down which is such a good idea! I'm definitely looking forward to trying this sample in the shower, maybe it'll be my new go-to.

Okay, so I intended to buy one large shower gel but ended up standing in the shower section for so long because I just couldn't decide! I came out with two medium bottles, one,  a classic, Twilight.
Twilight is of course a very popular scent family and there are now tonnes of products that share the same smell, one of the most famous is the Sleepy body lotion.
I recently fell in love with the Twilight sparkle jar and am growing more and more in love with lavender scents so if lavender is your thing you'll love this gel!

Last but not least is my new favourite shower gel, Berry Berry Christmas. This is one of those new products that I kind of forgot about, which is why I'm glad I went into Lush and spent a long time sniffing everything...this gel is like nothing I've ever smelled before. It's made with fresh blueberry juice and cranberry infusion as well as orange oil.

I couldn't quite put my finger on this one as it's so unique and I don't think I've smelled anything blueberry focused from Lush so this may be why. It's such a beautiful, glittery, Christmas scent and it kind of reminds me of the fruitiness and tartness of Plum Rain; so if you enjoy Plum Rain I'm sure you'll like this!

It really is a magically looking and smelling product and I definitely need to stock up on these during the Christmas period.

I'll be doing full reviews of these products in the near future so keep and eye out for that.
